eHow Report for December

Well it certainly was an interesting first month writing for eHow. I wasn’t quite sure how the whole system worked but I think I have finally found my groove and am starting to feel like I know what I am doing. One of the more important things I learned was while you can write articles about how to do anything, it doesn’t mean you necessarily should! For example, if the articles you write aren’t searched for in Google, then it really is simply a waste of time. It took me a couple of weeks to figure that out, mainly because I wasn’t quite sure exactly how money is even made on eHow. But now that I know it, you will start to see more and more of my articles being geared towards high payout keywords from Google.

For my first month on eHow I ended up writing 52 articles total. I was hoping to do 2 per day minimum but it is hard work writing all those articles! On top of that I do work a full time job, have 3 kids and a man in my life who requires constant laundry and dinner duties.  :)

Since it was the first month, many of my articles haven’t had time to build up much in the way of earnings and some can’t even be found in the ehow website search engine yet. So I think a more accurate earnings picture will show up next month. But I said I would post results, so here it is. I made a whopping $12.92 my first month. From what I read in the forums, apparently that’s a good starting number. But we will see how it adds up for next month.

Tomorrow, I will make another blog post of my entire passive income earnings for the month of December from all projects and income sources. Until then…Happy New Year!
